I just looked at this blog for the first time in ages, and I knew it had been ages, but wow, I didn't realize just how long it has actually been. But what can I say, I've been busy, both teaching (and there are some adventures there I hope to relate before so much time passes again) and taking care of my wife (the short version: She got really, really sick back in 2020, right before COVID; the long version you can read on her blog starting right here).
But I'm actually in a steady, stable job that I've had for nearly five years now, and I'm loving it. I even got interviewed for it in a nemspaper on the other side of the country. Which is the main reason I'm posting thes hear, because despite promises that I'd get a physical copy of the paper, it's never come. So I wanted to put the link to the article somewhere where I could remember and find it easily, and I suddenly remembered I had a teaching blog. I'm parking it here!
It's actually kind of funny how this interview happened. I was heading off on an adventure last fall that coincided with some of the early days of the school year (which you can read about in the blog I still actually maintain, and my current bosses not only gave my blessing to go, they hooked me up with the publicity department of our overarching national company. My interview is the result.
